This 8-inch slide-adjusting 8-inch Crescent Wrench seemed radical enough to me, set in my ways as I am, so I bought it. The adjusting process is similar to the screw system used in the Handee Wrench  except the screw track is cut into a brass rod, not a steel rod, in this wrench. The wrench looks new, and probably is, but I haven't been shopping for a new adjustable wrench. The old timers are still working very well! Also, this wrench weighs about 1 pound.

I think I may have bought it too just for the Huh factor.   Anybody look up when it was offered?

Those are fairly current, along with the battery operated one.

Those helical rod driven adjusters work fine until a little dust or grit creeps in and then the slider binds.   The gee-whiz factor seems to keep the idea bubbling though.

rusty

Adjusts by itself.
Operates by itself.
Lights up by itself.

When they get to "fixes her car by itself" let me know ;P
Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

Necro thread revival.  Although th B&D versions are recent, this Space Tool version made in Pasadena Tx is older.  The link below shows one.
