Craptain

I found this site whilst researching tools. WOW. It is an excellent resource. I feel at home already as I recognize a couple of members from  Garagejournal. My interest habit is in buying tools, using said tools, buying more tools, selling a few of them and then buying more tools. I also collect a few for no good reason other than I like them.

I am a mariner by trade, wrencher of motorcycles by choice, wrencher of cars if I have to, and woodworker for relaxation. So I have a bunch of varied tools.

And I'm proud to be an American,
where at least I know I'm free.
And I won't forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

Welcome from WV!  I started out as Tampatools when I lived in Tampa from 1991 to 2002.  I used to go to 50-60 yard sales a weekend in the Tampa-St. Pete area buying and accumulating as many tools as I could.  I bought 400 planes from one guy in Tampa.  That was back when just about any plane brought a pretty good price on Ebay.

Ahoy Craptain, from Wisconsin. Your bio sounds vaguely familiar. You will fit in here.

Welcome Craptain. You will find this forum a lot different from the one you mentioned, as many past members"of it" are here.

Welcome!
I collect a ton of tools for...  no reason accept that I to.......  also love tracing the history of tools....  who would have used them,  what trade they were used for,  ect.   OK....  I guess those are some reasons.  I'm not much of a mechanic......  but, my dad is.  So, I don't know too much about wrenches.  I'm a woodworker, also belong to garage journal, ....  Anyhow, I hope you will enjoy it here.  I'm sure you will!  I look forward for a new person here.
cheers,

Craptain! English are you? Is your interest in motorcycles English? Or is that why you left England? (ha-ha). I am a member of a British motorcycle club and own an Enfield Interceptor and two Triumphs. Al.
