I have been going thru the pile of tools that I purchased in the last year. It's more fun to buy than to sort. Anyway, all these tools pictured came from one sale. Most of the tools are Milwaukee except the largest sockets. Those are Snap-on 7/8" drive, couple of strike over and one underline logo. The two wood handle drivers are Zenith. The chisels are Blue Points, with the s. The spinners are Ford service tools. The only info I've ever found was on alloy artifacts and although good info, its a little sparse. Some of the open end wrenches are marked Auto Service but are identical to the Milwaukee marked ones. Now for a question, the sockets for Milwaukee and Snap-on appear to be made by the same manufacturer. Was Snap-on made by Milwaukee Tool & Forge early on? If anybody has anymore info on Milwaukee I would love to hear it.

"Milwaukee Tool & Forge Company (MTF) made open-end wrenches, punches and chisels,  sockets,  toolboxes and other related tools in the 1920. Recently early Sockets with the Snap on marks and the nearly identical sockets with the MTF marks have been found creating speculation that MTF may have been an OEM source for socket blanks in the 1920s."

Many of the early Blackhawk tools looked like MTF and S/O also.  Here is a pic of my pouch that's shown on the AA site.

I don't really think this ratchet is as old as some. So now I have to wonder how long they were in business and marking their own tools?
