Found a 3/8" standard driver today marked Harrold tool Co. And I have a 1/4" long standard with the Harrold name on it.
Anybody have any info on that company? Tools seem to be well made, so I snagged them.

All I could find was this entry under a machinist website.

They made adjustable wrenches in the Crescent design, in fact there is one on eBay I just saw the other day. We had a thread about them hear before, the wrenches but I don't recall talking about other tools they made.

I have a pair of slip joint pliers and an adjustable marked "Harrold".  Neither are well made IMO.
"FORGED IN THE USA" myself.  Be good to your tools!

Gosh, looks like Harrold went through one merger/sell-off after another. No mention of hand tools, just wood working machines.
My tools "look" 1970's. By then, they were no longer independently owned. Still USA made though, so, at least that's good.

Yea, and I seem to remember that was somebody's patented feature, so I am leaning toward 'made for Harrold'
Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.
