I like hand tools the most but all have a special place in my thinking. In particular ratchets, a simple machine but fascinating to me none the less. I also like odd/unusual tools, the very small and the very large.

I like using tools and use virtually all of the tools I have even the collector items. Some I may use very gingerly but they do get used so I can appreciate the function as well as the form. The only tools I don't use are those that are no longer suitable for their intended function or specialty tools that are obsolete or outside of my needs.
