Monday and Tuesday usually aren't the big tool buyin' days, but this week..

Monday I picked up the wooden tool chest and the clamp on vise. Box is worn on the exterior but drawers look OK.
Today, after several attempts, I was able to meet a seller and buy the Cman block grinder.
Juuuust around the corner was this Simplex vise, got it also.

My job lets me peruse CL during the day and sometimes... I can beat the crowd.

 I'm with Bill
3/4 horse and both eyeshields and toolrests intact?

The Simplex vise has a --real-- long slide

An easy restore for a wooden toolchest?

Yeah I don't know how much you suck (no prices),
but you do suck and that is for sure.

Good scores there Brian. I would have been happy grabbing any ONE of those in a week, let alone all three
My friends call me Bob. My wife calls me a lot worse.

I tell you there were yard sales galore this last week end and I came home with...  2 sawhorses.
Handy yes, but not exciting.
God bless my wife is understanding as the projects are backing up...

In the last photo there are two vises, did you get the little one too?  The clamp on type.  I have missed at all 3 garage sales so far this year, not a single tool hit.  So where do you live?

John, oh yes, the little vise is mine. I have 10 or so clamp on vises.  Will post them up one day.

I live in St Petersburg Fl.
If anyone is in the area and is going to the Wagon Wheel Flea market in Pinellas Park while on vacation,
drop me a line and I will stop by to meet you.

Oldtools- I got good prices or I woudnt be buying. I bought the big vise and grinder to flip.
heres the last one I cleaned up and sold, see post #1191 - http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=157794&page=60

I emptied the tool chest to be able to wash it off.

It just keeps getting better, and better, and better!

Very nice score, kinda like golfers tell me "it only takes one good hole to keep you coming back" A find like that makes up for several dry weeks...

Congrats,

Now you have to find the rest of the vise that the swivel base belongs to.
