Hi, I've found this pair of old pliers, and I could do with seeing if I could find another pair. Only problem is I'm not entirely sure if it's a specific type of pliers that you can buy from somewhere, or it's something that was made many years ago as a one off. It appears as though it's been heat treated, though, and looks to be a straight up tool.

I've done a little drawing of it, how it looks with the jaws fully closed so you get the idea.

Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction!

Need to know what the jaw is like. Is there a cutting edge at all? What's the shape from above? Is the inside of the jaw rough for gripping?

Above it's just a plain shape The shape of the jaws shown in the first drawing is the same across the jaw's width. There's no sharp cutting edge. When closed the jaws don't meet at the tip.

Almost sounds like hog ring pliers. They're made to pinch something closed to that specific spacing. Hog ring pliers have a grove for the rings to nest in.

Could be grousing pliers also....
