Does anyone know anything about vintage or anything?

The table is a little rusty, but I plugged it in and it runs just fine! I'm not sure what would thread into the hole on the side. Seems like an awkward place for some kind of handle.

I have two like that.  One I bought new back in the late 60's and the other one at a garage sale a couple years ago.  They are a little noisy but have lots of power.

There is a black plastic knob that threads in the hole.

Cool. Thanks for the info. Got a picture of the knob so I'll know what to look for?

Unfortunately I won't be home until sometime in late Oct.  If you are still interested I can post it then.

From what I remember, it is about 2in. Or so in diameter, and about the same high.  5/16 or 3/8 threads.

I have one of these (well, I have two...) that needs new bearings; but until it reached that point, it was my only circular saw.  Darned good tool.

I have that saw (I got it at a garage sale for $3.00 and when I got home I saw it didn't have the return guard).  You are welcome to the knob if you wish.  Just send me your info.  If you want the whole saw you could have that, but you will have to pay postage.
