John Hough

I just found this site, really like the discussions, and decided to sign up.  Here's my cut-n-paste intro: I'm retired from the Air Force, a history buff, and amateur wood/metal worker. I also collect and restore old wood and metal working tools and machines as a hobby. My woodworking interests include period, shaker, and mission furniture, wood turning, and carving. On the metal working side I mostly make tools and parts for old tools and machines. I have a Galoot background (7 years hand tool only) but, partly due to age and partly 'cause they're cool, also enjoy and use machines in my wood and metal working.  Looking forward to talking tools in the future.

Welcome to the forum from illinois.

If you ever have time to share a few pictures of your old machines I am probably others would be intrested.
And I'm proud to be an American,
where at least I know I'm free.
And I won't forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.
