Still hunting for these to make another display like my curved ones. I need a 6" 10", and a 12" if it was made.

Looks like you have two sets to make there. Round handle holes and square. I see your curved ones have the square hole. What was the square hole for?

I think the square hole may have been incidental, or designed for square nuts of the time, though hex fasteners had already come into use.
The catalog shows the round hang hole, and I would guess that designates the extra feature of a coil spring to hold adjustment.
I am not going to be choosy about which ones I can find.

I found one of those 4" straights in a thrift store last year and was musing about that little square hole too... Looks like it would have fit the stem on that tiny little acetylene bottle that I got rid of years ago.

Sure do like that curved display, Pawpaw!

The square hole in the 4" ones probably fits the shut off valve on Prest-O-Lite acetylene automotive headlights.

Zeet, do you still have that 4" straight wrench?
Later I will look over your Plomb list to see if I have any swap material.

Sure do, Pawpaw... To me it's merely a cool little wrench... But you sound like "a man on a mission"... I'm sure we can make something happen
