I have an affinity for shop made / craftsman made tools. This is a welders' slag hammer with a special touch. Apparently, while he may have misplaced most of them, this craftsman wanted to make sure he didn't lose ALL his marbles.

I can't imagine why he had the marbles in there!

Because he's a weldor, and he could figure out how to do it without shattering the marbles unlike the 4 guys with bearing balls in theirs.
Hell, I'm looking at it wondering if he popped them in there or welded it up around the damn marbles.

Either way, I'll throw lead work at that man and see what he has to offer.  He might be the problem solver I need on a miserable job.
Timing has a lot to do with the outcome of a rain dance!

random thought.. but possibaly he used the marbles for a sorta of jig to space the rods of the handle apart so they felt comfortable in his hand and left them in their when he welded it up ?
