Steadman sheet metal tool

I really like this and its gonna be very handy.
Its well built and only cost 3 bux.

Thats a nice grabber for sheet goods.

Are most smooth faced?  I've seen mostly the vise-grip kind, so I don't know much.

What'll you use it for?

Looks like an early form of a ear-bender tool. More commonly known as a hand seamer.

Steadman called them 'radius handle tongs'.
Yes, for folding out the inside edge of a  hole in a box...vintage 1987...
Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

I have an offset AND a straight pair by a different maker - extremely handy tools for sheet metal work.  I recently fabricated some flashing for the head casing of windows on the current remodel, and they were invaluable for the various up and down bends at the corners of the flashing.
