Odd Cone Shaped Punch Press Pliers
« on: April 23, 2014, 12:23:11 PM »
The inventory tray that I am working on today and tomorrow has several odd things in it.  So, I will be listing 4 or 5 of them soon.

This one has the look of a kitchen tool.

I agree, it sure has the makings of a cherry pitter, although I have
not seen one like that. (yet)

Look what I found on Ebay;

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Aluminum-Cherry-Pitter-Dates-Olives-Pit-Easy-Removal-Core-Squeeze-Clamp-Seeder-/400606052543?pt=Kitchen_Tools_Gadgets&hash=item5d45fb40bf

It is a pretty close copy of the old one I have.  I don't understand how anyone can sell anything that cheap on Ebay and make money, given the fees and time involved.

I suppose they are mailing it in an envelope.
Note the shipping time - Sometime between May and June arrival...

Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

International shiping agreements between mail companies allows goods to be sent at sender's rate - I have ordered goods on eBay from Hong Kong or China - they have arrived within 2 weeks - cost of item + postage is less than just the postage in the UK...

It's a crazy world we now live in - just wait until the Chinese economy matches that of the USA or Europe, and we have to pay the 'real' costs... We'll have lost all our own manufacturing and be totally dependent on imports.... Then they'll charge what they want....

Meanwhile we can enjoy cheap goods and even cheaper postage rates...
