I saw this today at an antique shop, asking too much for my blood. How much is it worth? They were asking $95 US. Look to be cast bottom and top and there is the anti knock-over strap on the base of the tank. Marked Otto Bernz Newark NJ.

Worth $15.00-$20.00 at the most mate.

Tell'm they're  dreaming.   You guys use that term over there?

Oh yes, we use that term along with other more unpleasant ones for those who ask unreasonably high prices.

I'll be pleased to score that for $20.00 if she ever drops the price.
Thanks for your interest and thinking of me, much appreciated.

Yikes! that went for some fair coinage..

What a strange design...looks like an oil can with a torch stuck on...

(Can you help wondering if some poor fellow invented it by accident?)
Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

Plyerman

Wow, suddenly I'm glad I don't have a blow torch infatuation!
