Craftsman Y series
« on: August 11, 2014, 04:48:25 PM »
Picked this up over the weekend because it is 12 inch, bigger than I have seen before, and with more detail in the markings. Opens to 1-5/16 (+32)

Note the logo, this large, you can see it is the older line segment style, also the horizontal lines go from 2 lines to three. The hang hole not flush with the end of the handle is also very uncommon....

PS: The 'M' next to the (Y) and next to the hole are user marks
Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

Interesting block style "C"
"FORGED IN THE USA" myself.  Be good to your tools!

I saw a 12" like this  in a drawer out in the garage -- I think I got it from dad when I traded a pair of WINCHESTER monkey wrenches for a handful of "user" "crescents."
