I cant see how 2nd one from the top is used

top and bottom  nut splitters
2nd from top looks like a grease adapter for a larger motor, unscrew the plugs at each end of the motor screw this in pump grease in remove, place plugs back on motor. 3rd one looks like a special puller?

Prob. not much use for todays soft hardware

No.3 looks like a power steering pulley-puller.   The pulleys have a small collar that would fit in there well, and there is no other way to get it off.

I think you nailed it, the shaft is small also, that tool looks about right...

(The other tool has a 2 piece split ring that goes around the collar, but is otherwise more or less the same...

I could really use a power steering pulley puller ( say that three times fast :) ) but what would this center pin be used for?

Its not broken and appears to have been machined at this length.



Also the hole it rides in is alot larger and yet that thinner smaller shaft has alot of scoring on it, its been inside something.

Grease gun tool:  If it's what I think it is... the tip should be concave, possibly with a plastic concave insert, which will seal when held against the grease fitting.  The narrow profile will allow it to get between the crosses of an assembled u-joint in a driveshaft.
The large end may slide back over the grease gun coupler preventing it from rocking itself off the tool when greasing.

The front of the shaft of a power steering pump is hollow, the solid shaft slides down in there, for the puller to have something to push against,  if you can get down to a pump, it may be self evident.
