Bonney Three Quarter Drive Set
« on: December 23, 2014, 06:19:33 PM »
The pawn shop has this set with a sticker on the side of the box at $89, looks like it's marked down from $100. I bet it would clean up nice. I am trying out a new program for playing with photos called Gimp. This is a trial to see if I got any part of it right. I was hoping to be able to see the stamp on the ratchet handle, but I don't think it is going to show. If I can figure it out, I'll try to zoom in a little and make another image of just the stamped part. I think the set may be from the 40s, but that is a guess as at least one of the sockets is a Snap On Loxocket.

Gimp is a great photo manipulating program. It is a free source variation of Photoshop with many of the same functions and the same high learning curve. I can see the stamp on the ratchet, but to get a better look, you will have to start with a higher resolution photo. At the magnification you used, the image is pixilated.

I'm not clear about this. are we discussing photo software?

I assume you already bought the set and can take pics at your leisure?

I use a GIMP program also. When i go into a business to buy old tools i wear my shabby clothes, have my cane and walk with a limp. When asking the price i suddenly have hearing loss and seem confused. It works for me. It is a game like Monopoly. I have money and they want as much they can get and i have money and want to keep much as possible. What ? Where am i ? What forum am i on. Merry X-mas and a great 4th of July.
