Locomobile pipe wrench
« on: December 29, 2014, 10:50:35 AM »
Need a pipe wrench for your Locomobile ? Evidently they were a little pricy for their 1899-1929 era. $10000 would have bought you a home or a Locomobile in that time frame. I choose the home as did most other people. This wrench was made by Walworth using Stillson patent. Other side stamped Stillsons wrench Pat Aug 1882 Walworth Mfg Co Boston USA. This is 8in wrench.

That's a keeper!

I think the home price as 1000, not 10000. In the 50's my father would build you a fine home for 3000.

Yes and that $10000 was for the Locomobile limousine model which was $11000+ . They obviously made cheaper model such as the $750 in the ad.

I love the font in that piece.

where at least I know I'm free.
And I won't forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

I like the way the script on the wrench matches their ad.

I wonder if Walworth put the script on or did Locomobile do it ???
