Man does that bring back memories.  Too bad you couldn't add and subtract on one, we wouldn't need calculators.  I still have the one I bought in 1960.

I had an old slide rule from school I found a few years back, my boys now 39 and 32 did not know what it was.
Amazing how times change, what about those horrid  logarithm tables books.

Seems to take longer to design and build airplanes todayMine from college was a LOG_LOG_ DECITRIG in 1940s.  Usedit to design an airplane in 1947.  Later before computers we also used calculaters..

That does bring back memories. I carried a Pickett in college. Wife bought me this K & E about 5 minutes before I quit using a slide rule. Consequently it is surviving in almost new condition. Woun't sell or trade it and doubt that I'll ever use it.
