Maritime Brass?

   Here is another interesting junk yard find that is currently listed on E-Bay. I never did come up with what I believe to be the proper name or purpose for this kind of equipment. I think I called it a non sparking scissor hook clevis. Solid brass, about 7" long with a tapered hole possibly for attaching a rope and the type of locking hook commonly found on tire chains.
