My toolbox
« on: May 15, 2015, 07:47:57 PM »
A local industry used to allow some of their workers to make their own toolboxs. (maybe allow wasn't the right word) Yesterday at auction they had 5 of these boxes (weigh a ton). I got the bid and auctioneer said "he wants the one with his name on it" Actually I did want that box but only because it contained 2 Ampco dbe and a pair of Ampco pliers and I really had no use for the box. My inventory did not contain any of these items and fortune smiled on me. Does the different stamping on the adjustables denote vintage.(they were in 2 separate lots.)

Wow, you hit the jackpot there Jim! Ever since you've been posting about your non-sparking collection, I've been resisting the urge to pick up a few ampco tools myself (but it's a losing battle I fear)
My friends call me Bob. My wife calls me a lot worse.

So you have non-sparking tools to work in hazardous conditions, don't you need a non-sparking tool box to carry them in? If you carry your tool box into your work area and drop it or slide it, BOOM even before you get a chance to open it.
