Kondu box wrench age?
« on: May 26, 2015, 08:19:24 AM »
I picked this up when it was included with another item. I find it listed at a few past auction sales.
It's an EMI co. conduit wrench. How old is it? , do they still make these? Any collector value?
Thanks

Erie Malleable Iron Co. KONDU-BOX was introduced to the electrical trade in 1925 (base on snippet views in a google / books search). Don't know how long they stayed in production -- the company was called KONDU Corp after WWII.
The wrenches  turn up in collections fairly often; they don't tend to bring very much -- not a lot of collector interest in electric conduit related tools -- BRIEGEL METHOD may be an exception.
