New job, new state

Off to Utah in the next week or so. Yeh sorta crazy.

With a lot of stuff in past monthes we considered moving out by my sister an her family for many different reasons. Orginally I an parents weren't gonna move to end of summer at earliest but things lined up for me. I will be moving in the next week or as soon as I finish things here. Parents to follow later on.

I applied for a apprenticeship position in the natural gas field a little while ago. I really didn't think I would get it but its such a blessing I did. I Had two phone interviews, drug an background check an then went out for a interview out there. I got a call Yesterday basically saying when I start. Originally it didn't look like I got it but I did.

Now it comes down to witch tools do I take right away. I will just be driving my pickup out but dads renting a truck when he comes out. Looks like some tools will be in storage for a while until he comes an some will sell.

Congrats Nola.
You're headed for a whole new world, hopefully not in Tooele though.  There is not a good deli in Tooele, and definitely no really good corned beef or rye bread.  SLC may still have a deli where acceptable corned beef can be found, but it has no Italian restaurants of the old school, you being a kid probably won't miss that though.  Provo has the University and probably still retains that atmosphere.

It's a good place to live and make a living, and unless things have changed considerably there you'll enjoy it.

The Poboys in Utah are sorely lacking.  But good employment opportunities are hard to come by so I wish you well!

Thanks guys, great encouragement as always. It's well appreciated. 

It's deffintly a step up. I sort of look at is as a career ime getting into versus just a job I do welding an basic metal fab at. Not just the type of work will be better for me but the company offers good benefits compared to what I have now.

I am gonna miss several people here but that's about it.

On the plus side I got rid of a bunch of tools an my snap on chest an matco service cart. I realized I didn't have time to list them locally on Craigslist an deal with 20 people not showing up, kicking the tires, lowball offers an other random sketchy people. I got my scrap metal an flea market buddy to take them an will give me a great percentage of what he sells them for. Normally i wouldn't do that with people but this guy is one of my best friends an I trust him.

It looks like I will be leaving this Tuesday.
