The one on the left looks like it might open up ? no idea on that guy. The one on the right looks like it has a smooth 1/2 round bottom so maybe for running over freshly glued down laminates or fabric to work out the bubbles ?

I believe the one on the left is missing the blade.  I picked up one like it in Maine this summer, and it had a blade in it.  The blade angle is very steep and not adjustable like most wood scrapers.

I think it had a patent date but I can't remember.  Right now it is buried in the bottom of a box of other tools I've been gathering up.
