I can imagine using this to hold a (light-duty) tool or scraper blade, or a
(heavy-duty) gauge (e.g. a radius gauge), but I'm sure that neither is what
I'm supposed to do with it.  Pretty sure I've seen it before and should know
it, but I'm forgetting more than I'm learning these days.
