Unusual Hammer
« on: June 30, 2016, 05:29:30 PM »
Hello, All. I tried to find something on this hammer, but no luck. I am guessing it is a Picking Hammer, but I have never seen the double end with the offset. The bend looks factory, looking from pick pint to pick point (over the top) it is straight. The handle has faint stamping, nothing that I could read. The handle may or may not be original, as you can see the handle is not set 90° to the eye. overall length of the head is 10-1/8", overall length from the butt end to the top of the eye is 11-1/4". Thanks, Lou

I have a few pick hammers but not a double ended on, the handle  and hammer body looks a bit like a Fairmount brand.
here is a pic of some/most of my pick hammers for autobody work.
A bunch of pics (5000+) of tools and projects in our shoppe

I sold one exactly like that last Friday.
Was that you?
BTW, I didn't know what mine was either.
The ORIGINAL Northwoods.
