Picked this little beauty up at the local car boot sale this weekend. I know it a guillotine, but what is it designed to cut up ? I think it may have been used for chopping up lead prior melting for use in the printing industry many years ago.

sure its for cutting?

blades seem a bit dull

might be a squeezer instead

either way it's really cool!

Definately not a squeezer - the blades are offset like a proper guillotine

Tile cutter as per the 1928 catalog.

I'm afraid, if I used it, the tiles would be reduced to a little pile of clay chips.  Nifty find.
