WHAT IS A .INK FILE?

INK files are known as Pantone Reference Files. They are categorized as raster images files and were developed by Pantone. These files contain information about the colors that are related to a certain image file. INK files are usually in a Pantone-defined standard format and they are supposed to be stored in the same directory where the corresponding image file is located. CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6 is the main application that uses INK files. This contains a suite of applications used by graphic designers when creating vector illustrations, brochures, retouch photos, page layout, and websites as well as in converting vector and bitmap images. This suite of applications provides everything that the graphic designer needs to make their tasks a lot easier. The CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6 is only available for Windows operating system, which is why INK files are mostly accessed on a Windows operating system. INK files also help users perform their projects using the CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6 quick and easy.
HOW TO OPEN A .INK FILE?

Launch a .ink file, or any other file on your PC, by double-clicking it. If your file associations are set up correctly, the application that's meant to open your .ink file will open it. It's possible you may need to download or purchase the correct application. It's also possible that you have the correct application on your PC, but .ink files aren't yet associated with it. In this case, when you try to open a .ink file, you can tell Windows which application is the correct one for that file. From then on, opening a  .ink file will open the correct application.

A WORD OF WARNING

Be careful not to rename the extension on .ink files, or any other files. This will not change the file type. Only special conversion software can change a file from one file type to another.

I think that is a "link" file extension...quick google search shows:

LNK is a file extension for a shortcut file used by Microsoft Windows to point to an executable file. LNK stands for LiNK. Shortcut files are used as a direct link to an executable file, instead of having to navigate to the executable.

and if you type in lnk it looks like Ink (note the lack of serifs).

Since it's an unknown executable pointed to, i won't be going there.

I am thinking water line wrench like is used to shut off your water supply between the city line and your meter . I have a couple of home made ones I have used. Our city says it is illegal to have them and long ago I was told to keep mine out of the view of city water workers or they would confiscate the tool.
