very rare tool

my 8 year old grandson brought this home from school today and gave it to me for Christmas......how did he know i like tools???????guess they have some sort of store in school ?

Just kidding!   I think it's great when kids collect.   I still have my marbles, postcards, a few auto cards and plane cards and a couple of the steel license plates from when i was a kid.   No idea how they survived my mom.

I have a seven year old Grandson who has the collecting bug at least for now, (probably from seeing all the stuff I have laying around) I gave him a no name ratchet and a few sockets  along with some nuts and bolts he can use them with. I want to stay away from chisels, saws, and smashing tools like hammers until a bit later. How can you go wrong? It teaches dexterity, patients and the basic construction.

You must be a very proud Grandpa! My young boy (he's 10 now) also brought some tools from school for his grandpa a year ago and it just feels special. My Dad was very touched by this!
