Herbrand DOE with screwdriver bit

Sorry my picture taking is down again, but curiosity is killing me.

I picked up a Herbrand DOE about 6" long with 1/2 and 3/4 openings.
The larger end had a forged in screwdriver-like bit on one side of the head.
The only markings are the diamond H Herbrand logo and the forged in number K-99 on the shank.
Anyone have a clue?
It may be a week or so before I can post a picture.
