Old socket.. or new-ish socket?

At first glance it looks like an old Walden pressed steel socket, but it's a heavy cast socket (you can see where there was some casting marks or blemish filed down on the side). The part number XE-81 doesn't come back to anything, and that odd forge mark isn't Vlchek. As you can see from the end-on shot quality wasn't job one as it's a bit off center. 3-1/4 long, 7/8th socket, with a 13/16th square shank OD and 9/16th ID. It looks and feels old, but it could just be a cheap 1980's socket for a Brazilian built tractor. Does this look familiar to anyone?
