What a Wrench
« on: March 08, 2019, 05:52:49 AM »
Now this is a man sized wrench. How do I sneak this into the house to add to my collection? It is made of wood and is only 90 inches tall.

You know, making that wrench would be a doable project.

Bandsaw, hatchet, drawknife, belt sander rasps.

I once started out with a half-sawn walnut log and ended up with a rifle stock, a much more difficult task.

But Williams engineer wrenches do not speak to me.

I was thinking the same thing.....possible to make, but no desire....

It sold, or at least the auction has ended. It is marked as being out of stock.

And you get the wrench that is zip tied to it as part of the deal.  Imagine needing that zip tied wrench to complete your set....

I think the fine print later in the listing said local pickup only. I saw the free shipping at the top of the listing too. I'm not sure I  would want to trust a 90 inch wooden wrench that is almost 100 years old to be shipped by any of the common shippers these days.

Some you may think i'm somewhat not to smart buying that board.  its a williams model L silent salesman retail display board.  i been looking maybe 10 years for 1, ever since i heard of it.  i seen the 54" and 72" boards but wanted the kahuna.  there are williams ads on ebay advertising these displays.  thats about all i know about them.  i'm smart enough to know that i'll be picking it up.  anyone care to share any williams info about these displays you may have?   my plan is to fill the board as it should be.   tia

Glad to see that it is going to someone that has the passion and appreciation for such a piece. I have had similar searches in my wrench collecting. I still hope to complete my Hilary Klien collection some day.
