Found this little beauty at an estate sale, everything is original Walden except for an ancient Craftsman 7/16 and a Proto 5/16 socket. So I guess I'm in the market for a Walden #3110 5/16 socket, and a Walden #3113 7/16 socket. Also an interesting box with a side hinge, haven't seen one of those before.

I'm not going to tell you what I paid for it, so just go ahead and say "You suck" because it was dirt cheap.

Great score.  You are lucky to get the right box. Can you photo a socket?

Here ya go, hope it's clear enough to see detail.

That ratchet looks like it could be used as a refrigeration ratchet. Maybe the tool kit was made for servicing refrigerators or ac units.

Very nice.  And you have the drive plug, too.  Those are so often absent.

That was the ratchet they put in the 1/4" drive sets until 1944.

So it looks like I'm also missing a spintight handle and two extensions... time to start scrounging!

Sweet find!  That box with the end hinge is really neat!
You might say I have a tool collecting problem....

Hello, Moparthug. Nice find on the Walden set. I might have one around here, but not as nice as the one you posted!! Regards, Lou

The longer extension is merely hard to find, the short one is nearly impossible. The one in my set is the only one I've ever seen. The short one wasn't actually included in any Walden wartime set but rather sold separately as open stock, which probably accounts for their scarcity. I'll take a look and see if I have either of your missing sockets in cad finish, to match the rest of your set. The yellow and black spinners are rare as well, but the yellow handle ones are pretty common.
Here is my best dark finish set, likely from 1945. The dark ratchets are hard to find as well.
