My 91-year old friend Brip came over today to look at the wrench collection. When I showed him the Star bicycle wrench, he said, "that went with the Star Bicycle!"  It was obvious that Star bicycles were a commonplace in Brip's youth. This little 3 3/4" wrench with the brass adjusting nut was made by Peck, Stow & Wilcox in Southington, CT.

Being 72, I had never heard of a Star Bicycle.  I had assumed, in error, that this name had been applied by Peck, Stow, & Wilcox as a brand name!
