Hello, Sudsy . This confirms what you said , you can see the copper through the wear marks on the feet . The other one shows the white metal where the anodizing has worn away .The copper version weighs 22 ounces , and the white metal version weighs in at 32 ounces .

At that weight I would think it could be cast iron

Is pot metal magnetic? I avoid anything made of the stuff like the plague so have no idea.

What I am calling pot metal is non-magnetic , usually a zinc alloy , and other non-ferrous metals. I am not a metallurgist by any means!!
