 Not as rare as I thought it might be when I acquired one. Don't remember when they sold them, but seems like it was 40's or 50's. One sold at vern Nail auction for $ 12.50 so they are not real pricey. Thought I posted mine on Tool Talk when I got it and someone had a cat and gave me dates of sale but if so I didn't add it to wrench tag and didn't find it with search on forum so info was lost. Some people are hard to help.

We discussed them at the GG.

Never did figure out (yet) who made the  things, but they were introduced in 1953 or 1954.

They likely didn't sell too well due to their relatively expensive price.

Here it is from the 1953 catalog. It is more expensive than the Dunlap, but cheaper than the standard Craftsman 14.

Well, so it is! I guess I didn't notice the picture in the 1954 catalogue was referring to an 8" standard!
