Following the links to that seller's other items in the completed sales listings shows all of the tools he sold, including the IH boxes. It looks like he took in just under $10,000. There were quite a few bidders for some great IH tools.

Everyone is scrambling to dig out the IH tools out of their boxes now.

I bet they are. I think I'll try to keep an eye on them for a bit. It is true t that a sale like that brings 'em out of the woodwork. We'll see what shows up.

If the value isn't in the tool then it must be in the safety labels.

Wow!!  $600 for a pipewrench? >$66 a piece for screwdrivers?.
What is it with IH tools? why so much & so many bids? ~$10,000 paid?
and this is "Late Models" not Vintage..

Guess I'am still learning about value of tools....

they were expensive compared to other brands and only available at dealerships and catalogs.  it got so bad for ih that alot of employees were paid with stuff off the counters.  what did one expect when my cubcadet 982 super garden tractor retailed for $78000.00 in 1981.

The newer stuff seems to be more scarce than the older stuff. I have a couple hundred pieces of IHC wrenchs etc.,unfortunately it is almost all old and a lot of it would be in $3 range. I keep my eyes out for newer stuff at auctions but rarely see any.

The wrenches shown in the completed auctions link above are Wright made, from the 30 or 40 years ago or so, I think. I don't know if the sockets, and ratchets are Wright also, but that would make sense. I don't know who made the other tools for them. It does appear that the IH collector market is alive and well.

My goodness.

I have hundreds of IHC wrenches, but not one of them would remotely bring prices like that!

I'm happy to see such great demand for IH tools, but I am stunned!

I'll take credit for starting this fury of IH buying.  That IH pair of wire crimpers I had on ebay with 2 rusty wrenches brought $200 like a year ago.....now it's gone exponential!!!

I've casually followed the late model Deere and IH wrenches for some time. They've been strong as long as I've been watching, but some of those tools in the OP are just stunningly high.
