I don't know the story behind this shot, possibly a wartime photo?
Of all the things I've lost , I miss my mind the most

rusty

>possibly a wartime photo?

Post war the Woodies got a big ugly chrome front grille, so perhaps...
(Guessing the one in the photo is a '41  +/-...)

Wonder what the grass clippers are for fixing? LOL
Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

I kinda think this is a staged photo for: Moms taking care of things on the home front.   Clippers, old Ford monkey wrench, 3 lb. hammer, jack and 4way, even a little alligator.   Not much you could do to a flathead with that assortment.   The 41 Ford woodie would probably had a decently chromed bumper originally,  and it and the paint look rather weathered.   Amazingly the white walls look real good.

Yep the white walls look good but I don't see any tread on the tires. I ran a lot of baldies with nice white walls in the old days and never had a flat. These days the only flats I've had are with relatively new tires. As a matter of fact never had a flat in the ole days. LOL Not that I am recommending that people should drive on bald tires, just kind of strange stuff from my past.
