Garage sale find

Picked up another Cornwell tool box this week end with assorted wrenches. I have a soft spot for that brand as I have my dads Cornwell roller.
I was leaving the garage sale empty handed when I saw this box under the bench. Took a quick peek and asked the seller for a price, and she took $25.
The normal old nasty screwdrivers were infesting it, plus a nice little selection of wrenches.
Have not found a date code but it is pretty stoutly built. 70's likely as it has sliders. A little dirty but still a working box, but I just dont think I have the space to keep it.
 I am in the middle of restoring an intermediate box for my 50's Cornwell to sit on, so this may have to leave.

Theres a What's it ?? in the pile I will have to get some better pics of... !

Interesting tool box, and am guessing early 70s as well.  Wonder where it got left,  to lose all its paint?   Wrenches look like they span from 1930-1960s,  heckuva deal for only $25

That Corny chest is sound, straight, bargain priced, and way too cool to get rid of. 

Sure it's, faded, crusty, and full of crud, but underneath it's one solid gem with a great pedigree.  Don't want to refurb it?  Just scrub it, lube the slides, and put it on top of your Cornwell cabinet and intermediate box.  You'll never be sorry... unless you sell it.

Dang, that IS a great looking box! Refurbed or not.
What is that double open end wrench with the square shank in the first pic of tools? Looks like "Swagelok" written on the handle? It just stands right out.

Bonneyman   SWAGELOK =  high end plumbing fittings, and it is a bright wrench!

Lauver, no doubt, it is a solid box. But below is the keeper of the two I have now.

I just finished the intermediate box, Aztec brand, Made in the USA.
Wasnt aiming for perfection, just a clean working box, and I had fun doing it!
I saw this thread over at GJ and picked up the Cornwell top box with the neat logo over two years ago.

So the intermediate box was a warm up for the top box.
Planning on the same Black / Red color scheme.

and...I had stuff (tools) piled on top of that Cornwell and coincidentally could never find two Perfect Handle type screwdrivers...
so when I opened it tonight, lo and behold, there are the missing jewels.

Tried to post this earlier, but got to the end and hit the wrong (unknown) keystroke and lost the whole deal....  Dang !!

So, I found a good home for the tool box, it's going to my brothers "palatial country estate." (it's a garage in the woods...)
A quick and dirty clean up/prime/paint/lube and it's back in business, likely to out last us both.
 I may have to steal that Cornwell sign off of it first...

So, after cleaning up the wrenches, I found some neat stuff.
The V notch on the Barcalos caught my eye,
 and the top two wrenches in the first pic both use  a very similar marking for the MM sizes.
The one with the center divider is commonly indentified as a Bridgeport, and the top one is possibly an earlier version ?
The reverse of the big one has the SAE sizes and FORGED STEEL - USA, no other markings.

3 of them turned out to be Herbrand and a generic tappet wrench.

The last pic has a early Blue Point at the top, then a Ford (?) wrench marke with the M (Moore ? right ).
Not sure what the last two are.

Nice find for $20.  Beware!  Some will believe one could incur bad tool bargain kharma.  Given a gift, but if one then sells it, one might not see similar again.

Kharma or whatever, we seldom-to-never see Cornwell up in the frozen northwest.  I've never seen a Cornwell box and can count on fingers the Cornwell tools I've come across.
