I'm happy you got this, and the price was unbelievable.  But there is major suckage here!  A Mouse Hole?!   A MOUSE HOLE?!!  Incredible.   Three bucks a pound is for any ole anvil.  It doesn't begin to cover a legendary maker like Mouse Hole or Peter Wright.

Of course, without the pritchel hole you won't be able to make horse shoes on it...

I had to laugh at that..... I get SO many people that think that is all we blacksmiths do!!

Yes, all major suction of the anvil deal type is pulling toward western WV right now, but better me than some hoidy toidy antique dealer that will over price it and stick in a shop along some major interstate, to be left, neglected, for years....... I HATE that stuff, overpricing good user tools just waiting to soak some schmuck looking to start smithing. Burns my arse, to say the least.

By the way, Branson, I sent you a PM about a socket you may be able to use....
