Some tools I found
« on: September 01, 2013, 09:29:13 AM »
I found these at a sale a while back and even though I needed them like a new hole in the you know what, I couldn't pass them up for what the owner asked for them. I would have thought they'd be more common but cant find anything much at all about them. Do you suppose Lumen is someones house brand? I did find that Elora makes the exact same wrenches in W. Germany. With the no. 110 on them also, but I can't find anything on Lumen. Also the Hazet sockets seem to show up more but again being W. German tools its not going to be easy to make any sort of set out of them, so if they fit someones collection, let me know.

There is a mention of a Lumen marked wrench on another forum, with also a Mercedes service part number on it. The number makes it a valve  wrench for a 240D engine.
So probably from the 1980's...
Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

Thanks Rusty, I found this site; http://www.bloomertool.com/DIN-838-ISO-3318-BoxEndWrenches.html  they refer to these as long pattern double box wrenches. They look to be the same tool with a different name. Do you suppose Mercedes calls their house brand of tools  Lumen?
