MVWCC Meet at Baraboo WI this past weekend
« on: September 23, 2013, 08:04:34 PM »
I made the trip to Baraboo WI on Friday.  There were about 50 collectors  that had bidder numbers.  I was too late for the swap tables in the morning, but did get to meet Bus and Stan Schultz.  Jimwrench was there, but we managed to duck each other.  Sorry Jim.  I bid on a few of the box lots.  There were a few boxes that got up over the hundred dollar mark, but most were ten to forty per box with about ten pieces in each.  I bid on seven and got  five for under what I set in my mind. Below are photos of my haul.   It was a good day.  I love the smell of rusty wrenches in the fall!

Very nice group, John!  More importantly what a great opportunity to meet the folks you did.  It would have certainly been a pleasure for me.

Very nice !  I dont get to auctions here in Florida, but a lot of yard sales and some flea markets, and I see very little of that style wrench.   Just a great mix of wrenches, I'm sure you are enjoying them !!

If I remember my numbers correctly... which I may not. The T2178 may be the prize there. Do some research on that one and see where it leads you.

Thanks Carl and RC. I am grateful for the help. I don't own Rathbone's books, but I may pull the trigger on one soon.

Seeing these pics makes me anxious to see what my bud picked up, he bought 2 buckets of wrenches from an old engineer.
