Vintage schrader tool - refrigeration ?

Cant find any data , searching for "Schrader tool" shows me core removal tools.
I hinking more like a refrigeration tool ?

Ok, back in the old days, in the dusty recesses, tires all had inner tubes.   If one was a bit clumsy, you could let the valve stem slip back inside the tire, which would bring on shocking new words.  With this tool, once the first bead of the tire is over the rim, and the tube inserted, this was threaded onto the valve stem, to hold it and keep from slipping inside the tire.  This was a job that was really tough on the manicure too.  Could also have been used to pull new valve stems into tubeless tire rims.   The ones I had, were attached to chains, that had a toggle, that prevented loss inside the tire.  I'd still like to have one again.  Neat tool.

Yup, that's a don't have to go fishing for the valve stem tool.

It works a whole lot better than the one I have with a 9" cable and toggle that also repairs stem threads.

Just got myself an idea to make a similar tool from a valve stem extender and some tubing that will remain attached to the tube and permit partial inflation.

John, I remember those, but this tool has no threads inside, just vertical grooves.  I see some of the Schrader valves in the refrigeration supply sites have a knurled exterior, might this be used to tighten/lossen?

Hmm, thought I detected some threads in there.   I've seen square valve stems, on ac, but not something knurled.   How does this fit over a valve stem?  Tight, loose?

1440A is listed as "Temporary Valve Plug Ejector"

So perhaps for just pushing a plug out of the hole for testing, not a real valve?

(assuming 1440A is just a newer 1440)
