This is a hammer I have and would like to know who made it and for what I know it was made by Falk and used to pound on things but, Who was Falk and what did he want you to pound on?

The Falk Corporation is an old Milwaukee company that dates back to 1848.  It started with a brewery that was sold in 1856 to Capt Fredrick Pabst. They made wagon axles, brewery equipment, streetcar track welding systems and finally, medium and heavy duty industrial gearboxes. It is, or will soon be, sold to Rexnord, another old local company. The hammer was probably part of a service kit or maybe came with the track welding system. They had large forges and a foundry so they probably made the hammer in house.
