Thanks.  Anyone have any more info about williams silent salesman wrench display boards other than what i posted ?  i kinda hope its not the board in the illustration above... it'd be hard trying to find all those "superiors".   Maybe its for the "engineer" wrenches would be easier.   Or maybe the williams vulcan chain wrenches,  i got the biggest 1.

Thanks again.

Largest chain wrench Williams made, 7' long, 141lbs. This NOS 1 i picked up hudson valley antique engine club sale 5-6 years back.

Place of distinction over the door.

Yep!  With the distinction it deserves.   I haven't been wrench collecting for like 15 years since my big "d" sale. Now with the wrench shaped display i got a good excuse @70 years old to start again with williams.  Years back they use to be a fairly easy wrench to find.

Right don,  not having it in hand yet i believe its for the superior line.  If research is correct the board should display 246 wrenches in 6 different classes, weighing 174 lbs.

Your thoughts about finding the superior wrenches?  As i mentioned b4,  years ago they seemed common finds.

I don't think the ones I pictured are really rare. Some of us WW2 collectors grab them when we see them as they were supplied in some WW2 toolsets. I still have the one with the traces of green paint on it.

Thanks, it'll give me a realistic goal rather than looking for a $60,000 JD wrench.
