4in & under club 5/17
« on: May 17, 2012, 07:09:35 PM »
I have been approached  about forming an actual 4 in and under cyber club by those on tool talk . If there is enough interest i will pursue seeking information . my idea is that it would be a closed inventory display club set up with members to display the tools but no comments to clutter the post . each member would display the tool and description. A s far as rules i think if there is enough interest couple of tool talk members could work on it through pms what do you think?
it could include  adj wrench either specific styles or all , pliers doe or dbe wrenches. black smith tools( small blacksmiths), auto tools or any tool that is under 4 inches( no fair cutting wrenches in half) let me know on this thread  thank you  bob w.

I would be happy to post my 4 and under tools in a 4 & under forum. Unfortunatley I don't have much time or knowledge in setting it up. I could lend some thoughts and comment on ideas brought up.

it would be the same as posting on a thread. You don;t have to picture one at a time you can put 10 in a picture and under it fill in the description , the format would have to be decided if enough interest is shown  one way could be.
       FORUM-- 4  UNDER CLUB
              MENCHWERNCH
                     PIC-1
                     DESC.
                     PIC-2
                     DESC.
              AMERTRAC
                     PIC
                     DESCRIPTION

YOU COULD ADD PIC & DES. IN THR FUTURE   bob w

Let's get at least 6 interested members, and I can establish a separate and private forum for it, no problem.

I would be interested if it includes all tools under 4 inches. I only have one adjustable and its asian so no one here is going to buy tickets to see that. I do have some magneto wrenches and other odds and ends though.

This is what I am looking for the input that makes you think . yes i would think that doe .dbe .or combo wrenches should be included along with pliers. specialty tools, levels, planes,or any tool that is 4 in or under the way i feel each member will be responsible for his section as he increases/decreases  his inventory we would have to have a minium pieces to make a member. there is a lot of work to be done before it will be on . if it is ok I will make a list of rules then we can appoint several members to discuss and make a sort of charter bob w.

Sounds good Bob. My only sugestion is that with limited membership it shouldn't require many rules. I don't know much about running a forum though. If the required number of tools is very high I may not even qualify to join. Not sure how many I have.

Rules of 4 and under club
Only members of the club can post on the club forum
Tools will be no longer than 4 inches long
Tools may consist of any hand tools approved by a moderator.
You must have a minimum of 6(six) of one type to be posted
Members will maintain their own post only to raise or lower the inventory
There will be no chatter or posts other than changing inventory or description
The inventory will be posted with a picture and description of each tool
Pictures may be up to 10(ten) tools as long as they are clear and has the description
 Listed for each piece
If a discussion is needed members will use the general discussion groups on toll talk

open for discussion either here or pm please give us your opinions
the minimum can be changed but I would like to start with one type . i believe it would be better
if you want we can start experimenting with a couple to see what we can do.THERE WILL ONLY A FEW MEMBERS TILL WE GET GOING kinda getting the bugs out . thanks for your cooperation

If you can’t comment on the tools why bother?
Right now I have only (2) 4” adjustables but I have over 50 ignition wrenches.
Everyone has stubby screwdrivers.

I intended this to be a display only why look through moies of comments to see the tools
if the majority want comments on the thread you are welcome to take over I will step aside
if you read the rules it says hand tools not wrenches
I have a small collection of ign/gen /generater wrenches and I would be gkad to show them
if you have a cokkection of stubby screw drivers why can't you display them.
    thank you   bob w.

There is no reason you couldn't link to a sister thread with comments/discussion about the picture thread...;P
