inch markings on wrench

I have not seen this before, could not find anything in AA about it (I coulda missed it too).
1 inch markings on the wrench, had to take this one home with me.

That should be a plow wrench. Used to measure the furrow as well as a wrench.
Many used it to measure fuel in the tank but that wasn't its purpose. Any other markings? The one I have is marked MH for massey Harris but there are many others.

Often seen on old Ford wrenches of a certain size, and many think it was to measure the fuel, but it is not, as stated above.

Dipping fuel tank is one school of thought, the other for measuring the dept of furrow on tractors with the new fangled three point linkage!!
Maybe it was for both? Sort for out here for the little grey furgy's (Ferguson)

There are a variety of these "furrow depth" measurement tools, domestic and foreign, out there.
From top to bottom in the picture below, a few more:
-Ferguson (stamped on larger jaw)
-Tang Yugoslavia
-MHF (Massey Harris Ferguson - MHF embossed on back)
-FoMoCo (acronym for Ford Motor Company)

heres another,,fergy spanner,,marked EN18
one side in inches,the other in centimetres.

PS ,,me old dad says,,they were used as dipsticks only cos they was to near to hand.

OK, no markings on mine, just a good sturdy plow wrench.
Got to love a wrench that is 1/2 inch thick at the fat end !

There is also another variety marked "Harry Ferguson, Inc." on the main beam of the wrench. I sent one to Australia a few years back.
